Establishment of AMC


Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA), in cooperation with the Ministry
of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Airspace Management Committee and EUROCONTROL, has established Airspace Management
Cell (AMC), with the aim of establishing functional and efficient Airspace Management (ASM).
AMC has been established pursuant to The Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official
Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 39/09), Rulebook on the Establishment of Rules for the Flexible
Use of Airspace (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 79/10) and Rulebook on the
Establishment and Organisation of the Airspace Management Unit (Official Gazette of Bosnia and
Herzegovina 9/17).


This cell is responsible for the operational airspace management (level 2), i.e. pre-tactical level. The
cell starts its work on December 6 th , 2018.

BHANSA runs the Airspace Management Cell. Both Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina
staff and BHANSA staff participate in its work.


The implementation of the concept of the Flexible Use of Airspace (FUA) and the regulations of The
Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Airspace Management will be completely finished by
establishing Airspace Management Cell. This allows increase in the capacity of the air navigation
service system as one of the essential elements in the process of implementing ATM strategy whose
ultimate goal is to provide airspace control service in the Bosnia and Herzegovina airspace by
BHANSA.
